Comparison is a tricky Gremlin, sneaking thoughts into the Ego’s awareness while you scroll Instagram or Facebook, looking at all the beautiful, shiny, easy-looking faces of the teachers, gurus, and influencers: “I’m not as good,” the Gremlin says. “I’m not as beautiful, rich, playful, happy, aligned, peaceful, or fulfilled as this person…” The trickiest thing about the Gremlin though is that it has a specific psychological and emotional purpose. It is there for a reason.
